Another summer tradition in Maine has been postponed because of the pandemic.

Organizers with the La Kermesse festival in Biddeford said Wednesday the event has been postponed to 2022.

According to CBS 13, the board of directors raised concerns over attendee and vendor safety, as well as the logistical challenges that come with social distancing requirements.

The four-day festival has been a Maine tradition dating back to 1983. It includes a block party, parade, and field activities including live entertainment, rides, and Franco-American cuisine.
