MARS HILL, Maine (WGAN) A Blaine man allegedly stabbed a woman three times in the neck in what appeared to be a random attack at a grocery store.

According to the Bangor Daily News, 45-year-old Ramadan Muhammad faces charges of aggravated attempted murder, elevated aggravated assault and reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon.

Police said Muhammad attacked the woman at the IGA in Mars Hill on October 20th before fleeing on foot. The victim was taken to the hospital where she was listed in stable condition.

No motive was indicated in court documents. At the time, police said the attack was random.

Police tracked Muhammad to an address in Blaine, where he was arrested without incident. After searching the home, they found blood on clothing and a folding knife, according to court documents.

Muhammad appeared in court on Friday and will be arraigned in January.
