Body found by lobsterman in the water near Addison

A body was recovered from the water near Addison on Monday.

The Maine Marine Patrol says the body was found by a lobsterman from Jonesport around 9:30 Monday morning.

The body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy on Monday.

The body was located not far from Petit Manan Island, where 18-year-old lobsterman Tylar Michaud of Steuben was known to be hauling and setting traps before his disappearance on July 21. The body found Monday was not confirmed to be Michaud’s.

No other details have been released.
