Body of Clinton man found in overturned vehicle

Police say a Maine man was found dead in a vehicle that ended up overturned in a body of water in Clinton.

The vehicle was found by police in the water off Hill Road on Tuesday. They said it appeared the vehicle had been in the water for awhile.

The driver was identified as 66-year-old Gene Rose of Clinton.

Rose’s body was found inside the vehicle when it was removed from the water by a wrecker.

Police say they don’t believe anyone else was involved in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information is being asked to contact police.
