Body of missing kayaker from Maine recovered in Canadian waters

The body of a kayaker from Maine was found in Canada on Sunday.

The U.S. and Canadian Coast Guard began their search after an overturned kayak was found near Liberty Point on Campobello Island in New Brunswick Sunday morning.

Crews located the body of 57-year-old Martin Spahn of Augusta early Monday near Raccoon Point on Campobello Island.

The Coast Guard said he was wearing a life vest.
