A body was discovered Sunday in the Sebasticook River. Police say the body was that of Justin Howard, 36, who went missing after he was seen entering the river near Pleasant St. in Clinton on March 28.

According to the Portland Press Herald, police said the body was found between the Benton bridge and dam.

Officials said someone called the Somerset County Sheriff’s office around 2:30 p.m. on Sunday to report that they had spotted a body.

The medical examiner’s office will do a complete evaluation and determine a cause of death.

Police say Howard’s death does not appear to be suspicious.

Howard was most recently living in the Waterville-Winslow area.

He had been visiting friends on Pleasant St. before he ran into the water.
