Suspicious package reported in Bangor found not to be hazardous

Bangor’s bomb squad was at the scene where a suspicious package was reported in a parking lot on Monday.

According to the Bangor Daily News, investigators determined the package did not pose any danger. Officials evacuated a nearby café and shut down the areas around Park Street, which remained closed into the afternoon.

Police said they received the call about the package from an employee working at 157 Park Street around 10:40 a.m.

It’s not yet clear what was contained inside the package.
