Brewer High School Senior Dies in Fatal Crash

A car crash in brewer has taken the life of a high school senior, and injured another.

Brewer police responded to Wiswell Road after 7 p.m. Saturday night after a vehicle went off the road. According to police, the driver, 17 year old Jordan Parkhurst of Brewer was pronounced dead at the scene.

A second man, Dylan Murray, 20, of Bangor was ejected from the vehicle and taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Brewer high school tweeted Sunday morning, saying they were “deeply shocked and saddened” and that, “Jordan made our school community a better place.” Brewer High School also tweeted saying a crisis response team has been activated. Counselors will be in place for all students and staff at the school on Monday.

Police continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
