Bridge project creates 8-mile detour in Peru, Mexico

A construction project will add an eight-mile detour in Peru and Mexico as crews work to raise a bridge.

The bridge between Peru and Mexico will be closed Monday so Pan Am Railways can raise the train tracks.

Traffic is being detoured to the Veterans Memorial Bridge next to the Rumford mill.

The detour is expected to last through Monday, July 2.
