Brunswick man who struck utility pole outside of police department charged with OUI

BRUNSWICK, Maine (WGAN) Police say a Brunswick man was under the influence when he struck a utility pole just outside of the town’s police department on Thursday afternoon.

Brunswick police say 40-year-old Travis Leeman was behind the wheel when he struck the pole with enough force to snap it in half. It happened around 3:45 p.m. in front of the police department on Pleasant St.

Leeman, who suffered minor injuries, was charged with operating under the influence of drugs and aggravated criminal mischief.
