Brunswick woman injured after crashing into utility pole

A woman who struck a telephone pole in Brunswick suffered non-life-threatening injuries on Monday.

Police say the woman, 45-year-old Melissa Nottingham of Brunswick, crashed into the pole around 8:50 a.m. on Old Bath Road after her vehicle drifted off the street.

The vehicle was seriously damaged and the pole was replaced.

Nottingham was taken to Maine Medical Center and treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Police said she was wearing her seatbelt and her vehicle’s airbag deployed.

Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
