Community pays respects to three young people killed in Clinton crash

The first of the funerals for three young people who were killed in a crash in Kennebec County was held Saturday.

The celebration of 15-year-old Thomas Porfirio’s life was held at the Williamson Performing Arts Center at the Lawrence High School and Lawrence Junior High School complex in Fairfield.

Services for 14-year-old Emily Baker and her 12-year-old sister, Ashlin Baker, are scheduled for Tuesday at the same venue.

The three were killed in a crash earlier this month on Hinckley Road in Clinton.

Police said the vehicle they were riding in was driven by a 16-year-old boy from Clinton. They say he did not have a driver’s license, which could result in charges being filed against him by the District Attorney’s Office.
