A woman was killed in a crash in Nobleboro Tuesday.

It happened around 2:30 p.m. on East Pond Road.

According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, a car driven by Sharon Moody, 68, of Nobleboro crossed the center line and hit a dump truck.

Moody was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 56-year-old Augusta man was operating the dump truck, which crashed into a utility pole after it was struck by the car.

Deputies say speed and alcohol didn’t appear to be factors in the crash.
