Crash Closes Route 196 in Lisbon

Route 196 in Lisbon Falls is open after being closed Saturday while Police handled a vehicle crash.

There are no details about the crash or any injuries involved.

Police blocked both the intersections of Route 196, also known as Lisbon Street, with Route 9 and Pleasant Street.

Officers say Lisbon Public Works set up detours for the area while the roadway was closed.

Meanwhile, deputies in Cumberland County closed down a road due to another weekend crash over the weekend.

Chadbourne Road in Standish was shut down at about 1:40 am Sunday because of a motor vehicle accident in the areas of School Street and White Rock Road.

There was no word on when Chadbourne Road would be reopened as of 6 am Sunday.
