Crash in Auburn leaves police officer with non-life threatening injuries

An Auburn police officer was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries after his cruiser was struck by another vehicle on Thursday.

Police said a black delivery-type vehicle was heading north on High St. while the cruiser was traveling west on Elm St. with the right of way. They said the van broad-sided the cruiser’s driver side.

Police say they don’t expect any charges to be filed.
