Crash in Augusta leaves two pedestrians dead, a third injured

Two pedestrians were killed in a car accident in Augusta on Thursday afternoon.

Police say a third pedestrian was injured in the crash, which happened on Cony Road around 2 p.m.

The identities of the victims, as well as details about the crash, have not yet been released.

The road was closed while state police helped to reconstruct the accident.
