Crash in Hampden leaves two men dead, vehicle submerged in stream

HAMPDEN, Maine (WGAN) Two young men were killed in a crash in Hampden when the vehicle they were in ended up in the water.

According to CBS 13 news, the two-vehicle crash happened at the intersection of Main Road North and Coldbrook Road around 9:50 p.m. Thursday.

The driver of a Subaru hit a Kia at the intersection and lost control, ending up in Souadabscook Stream.

The vehicle was submerged for several hours before police found it.

Police found the bodies of 22-year-old Christian Broberg of Winterport and 23-year-old Tyler Wheaton of Hampden several hundred yards away.

The crash is under investigation.
