Crash on Maine Turnpike Injures Six on Sunday

Six people from Massachusetts were injured Sunday on the Maine Turnpike when a car slammed into another car that had stopped unexpectedly.

State police say the accident happened in Ogunquit around 7:45 Sunday morning. Police say the car stopped due to engine failure.

Our info partners at CBS 13 News report the crash closed all three northbound lanes on the Maine Turnpike, forcing traffic to use Exit 7 in York.

All six people involved in the crash are expected to recover.
