Crews Work More Than 8 Hours on Durham House Fire

A home in the Androscoggin County town of Durham is a total loss from an overnight fire on Wednesday morning.
Durham Fire and Rescue arrived to find large flames coming from the residence on Reed Road and brought in assistance from several surrounding departments.

Crews say they worked for more than 8 hours to bring the large volume of fire under control.
There were no injuries. The lone resident is without a home after the house was a total loss in the fire.

Departments in Lisbon, Freeport, Brunswick, Pownal, New Gloucester, and North Yarmouth assisted with the fire.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
