Officials in Franklin County say there was no permanent data loss after a cyberattack that hit their computer systems in early February.

According to the Sun Journal, Franklin County Administrator Amy Bernard said their systems were briefly disrupted on Feb. 6, but the IT department was able to restore those systems in less than 24 hours.

Bernard says they’ve acted on recommendations that were made following an investigation to better protect against attacks.

She says they’re still working to determine what data may have been accessed.
