A person of interest has been detained in connection with a death investigation in Norway.

Around 1:30 p.m. Friday, Public Safety Spokesperson Shannon Moss said Greenwood Road in Norway was closed while investigators and the Evidence Response Team process the scene. One lane had reopened by 2 p.m.

The person of interest was detained and taken to Stephen’s Memorial Hospital for treatment. Officials say there’s no threat to the public.

Maine State Police, Oxford County deputies, and Norway Police responded to the scene.

No other details were released, but we’re expecting to learn more from police about the incident.
