Death investigation underway in Fairfield

Police are investigating another death in Maine this week.

Police responded to a residence on Main Street in Fairfield around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. Officers discovered a deceased male inside the home. The body was brought to the Medical Examiner’s Office to determine a cause and manner of death.

Officials say there’s no threat to the public.

It marks the ninth death investigation launched in the state over an eight-day period.
