Death of Woman Found in Pond Declared an Accidental Drowning

LISBON, Maine (AP) The Maine medical examiner’s office has declared the weekend death of a woman in Lisbon to be an accidental drowning.

The victim, identified as 61-year-old Carol Plourde, of Lisbon, was discovered in a pond on private property.

A property owner spotted Plourde’s vehicle Sunday evening and then found her body in the pond.

WGME-TV reports that police are closing the case, pending any new information.
