A Maine woman accused of killing her partner and her grandmother was scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday.

53-year-old Tzara Jones of Denmark is charged with two counts of murder for the deaths of 69-year-old Michael Willett and 93-year-old Aremean Mayo.

During welfare checks by Oxford County deputies, Jones reportedly told police that Willett had gone hunting out of state and that Mayo had gone to the hospital. Deputies discovered their bodies during another check at the home in late November of 2023.

Family members said Jones had grown tired of caring for the two.

Jones was scheduled to appear in Oxford County Court Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.
