DOC confirms inmate death at Maine State Prison

The Department of Corrections confirmed the death of an inmate at Maine State Prison Saturday. Prison officials said 48-year-old Jeremiah Young died at 8:45 a.m. Young began serving his sentences in September of 2015 for several offenses including multiple probation revocations for robbery, misuse of identification and theft by unauthorized taking or transfer. The State Medical Examiner was notified.
