CASTLE HILL, Maine (WGAN) New details have emerged in the investigation of a double homicide in Aroostook County.

Public Safety Spokesman Steve McCausland says police are investigating the deaths of 51-year-old Roger Ellis and 25-year-old Allen Curtis, who were found dead inside a pickup truck in the town of Castle Hill. Both men are Castle Hill residents.

Police were called to the scene along Route 227 just after midnight on Tuesday, expecting to respond to a collision between an ATV and the truck. Instead, they found both men dead in the truck, and an ATV in the road nearby. Area residents who heard a loud ATV in the area at that time are asked to call police. It’s not yet clear who the ATV belongs to.

Police are also asking to hear from anyone who may have had surveillance cameras pointed at the road.
