Drug agents seize $15,000 worth of fentanyl from Saco man

SACO, Maine (WGAN) Drug agents say a Saco man accused of selling fentanyl in the Biddeford-Saco area was arrested Tuesday.

Public Safety Spokesman Steve McCausland said Wednesday that 53-year-old Scott Pendleton has been charged with drug trafficking. Drug agents say Pendleton was making trips to Massachusetts beginning in February to purchase large quantities of fentanyl, then returning to Maine where he would sell the drug.

Agents watched Pendleton deliver drugs to customers in Saco on Tuesday night and then stopped his vehice on Elm Street. They seized 103 grams of fentanyl, with a street value of $15,000, and $4,145 in cash.

Pendleton was taken to York County Jail where his bail was set at $25,000 cash.

No word yet on a date for his initial court appearance.
