Drug Agents Seize Crack Cocaine, Heroin During Traffic Stop in Newport

NEWPORT, Maine (WGAN) Maine’s Drug Enforcement Agency have made three arrests in a drug bust in Newport on Saturday.

A vehicle was stopped by police on I-95 in Newport on Saturday, based on information gathered in an MDEA investigation. Agents seized heroin and crack cocaine from the vehicle, with a total street value of $3,000. Agents say the drugs were en route to Washington County.

The three people inside were taken into custody and brought to the Penobscot County Jail.

Police arrested 26-year-old David Jones of Bronx, New York, 32-year-old Chuckie Langley of New York, New York and 41-year-old Holly Inman of Machias.

They have all been charged with drug trafficking. Inman is being held on $35,000 cash bail. Jones and Langley are being held without bail.
