Eric Brakey has won re-election in a Maine State Senate race following a recount on Monday.

Secretary of State Shenna Bellows said Monday that the Republican incumbent won re-election in Senate District 20. He was up against former representative Bettyann Sheats.

After the recount, they were separated by 146 votes.

Recounts in two other races were scheduled to begin Tuesday morning.

Those races are in a Windham House district where Republican Barbara Bagshaw is up against Democrat Dana Reed, and an Auburn House district where Democrat Kathleen Shaw ran against Republican James Sorcek.
