AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) A former nurse who previously pleaded guilty to stealing drugs from a rehabilitation center saw her charge dismissed after completing a rehabilitation program.
Fifty-eight-year-old Donna D. Landry had worked as a licensed nurse when she was accused of stealing fentanyl. The Kennebec Journal reports Landry was present Tuesday at court in Augusta to withdraw her plea and see her case be dismissed.
Prosecutors previously said Landry admitted taking fentanyl patches she had signed out for a patient.
Landry was placed on deferred disposition after pleading guilty last year. She fulfilled a number of conditions, including undergoing substance abuse counseling and completion of public service work, among other things.
She is no longer allowed to work as a nurse.
