Fatal single-car crash in Knox County under investigation

A single-car crash in Cushing claimed the life of one person and left another injured.

According to the Portland Press Herald, the crash happened around 5:15 Wednesday evening near 80 Spear Mill Road.

Investigators found that the car went off the road and struck a tree. The driver, 29-year-old Dalton Cross of South Thomaston, was killed. A passenger was ejected from the vehicle and was taken by Life Light to the hospital.

The crash is under investigation.
