FBI, Maine police offer reward for info on the “Thirsty Bandit”

The FBI and Maine State Police are offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest of a bank robber known as the “Thirsty Bandit.”

Law enforcement say the man, who hasn’t been identified, is considered armed and dangerous.

He’s accused of robbing the Maine Savings Federal Credit Union in Corinth on Friday, June 25th just before 9:00 a.m.

He was seen grabbing a drink from a cooler at a nearby store before the robbery, earning him the Thirsty Bandit moniker.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 5’8″, weighing between 130 and 150 pounds with a slender build. He was wearing a dark baseball cap with an unknown logo, sunglasses, a dark-colored facemask, a blue button-down shirt over a t-shirt, khaki pants, and blue medical gloves.

The FBI is offering the reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the man’s identification, arrest, and prosecution. Anyone with information should call the Maine State Police at 207-973-3700 or the FBI at 857-386-2000. Tips can also be electronically submitted at tips.fbi.gov.

“This individual needs to be apprehended before anyone gets hurt which is why we are asking the public to pay close attention to these photos and video to see if they recognize him,” said Joseph R. Bonavolonta, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI Boston Division.
