South Portland city officials want residents to stop feeding birds on ponds.

According to our info partners at CBS 13 News, officials may decide to ban feeding ducks and geese in the coming weeks. It’s a popular practice at the Mill Creek pond.

Park rangers say birds are able to live off the vegetation around ponds, and that feeding them bread is unnatural.
