Final Honors For A Marine

Portland, ME  (WGAN) An American hero was honored recently at the Maine Medical Center in Portland.

A patient, a Marine who served two tours of duty in Iraq, was being wheeled to an operating room so that his organs could be harvested.

Firefighters from the Munjoy Hill station, police, veterans and hospital staff formed an honor guard, standing at attention as the marine passed.

A photo taken of the honor has gone viral.
