Fire at a Maine Lumber Company Causes Major Damages

A log loader was wrecked and one man was injured due to a fire in Eustis.

The fire happened Thursday at Stratton Lumber.

The Portland Press Herald reports damages to the log loader are estimated to be $250,000.

The operator suffered a sprained ankle after he jumped out of the burning machine, says Eustis Fire Chief Sprague Wise.

Firefighters from Eustis and Rangely helped extinguish the fire.
