The victim in a house fire in Skowhegan has died.
The fire broke out at a home on Waterville Road around 3 p.m. Thursday. One person made it out but was taken to the hospital in critical condition with severe burns.
Public Safety Spokesperson Shannon Moss says the victim died Friday morning. The medical examiner is expected to confirm a positive identity after an autopsy and DNA confirmation.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
