Fire chief faces drunken-driving charge in Maine

MANCHESTER, Maine (AP) A fire chief arrested for drunken driving in Maine’s largest city is due in court next month.

The Kennebec Journal reports that Manchester Fire Chief Francis Wozniak was arrested in Portland after being stopped for driving without his lights on late on Feb. 22.

The town manager declined to comment on the incident, saying it was a personnel matter. Wozniak, who was released on $2,500 unsecured bail, did not reply to an email seeking comment.
