WESTBROOK, Maine (AP) A fire has forced the closure of a community center in Westbrook, Maine.

Officials say the building will be closed for weeks, but did not suffer structural damage. Fire officials say the Monday night fire left the building without heat or electricity and crews are waiting to repair a transformer.

This week, the Westbrook Food Pantry, which is located inside the center and is normally open every Tuesday, will have to close. Officials had planned to give help to neighbors affected by the ongoing federal government shutdown.

No one was hurt in the fire.
