BAR HARBOR, Maine (WGAN) Maine fire investigators say a blaze that broke out at a Bar Harbor hotel was caused by an electrical issue.

Shannon Moss with the Maine Department of Public Safety says investigators with the state fire marshal’s office were called to the Bluenose Inn on Eden Street back on Feb. 10. Bar Harbor crews and firefighters from all over Hancock and Penobscot counties were able to put the flames out after 21 hours.

Investigators concluded that the fire was electrical in nature and the sprinkler system had been shut off. No one was injured.

The loss was estimated at about $10 million.
