Fishing will be free in Maine next week

Mainers will get to enjoy a “Free Fishing License Week” next week.

Governor Janet Mills signed an executive order that allows Mainers to fish for free without a license on Maine’s waterways from February 13th to February 21st. All they have to do is register here.

Anyone can register except those who have had their license suspended or revoked.

Since the pandemic began, Governor Mills and Wildlife Commissioner Judy Camuso have encouraged Mainers to enjoy the outdoors.
