Five Arrested in Swanville on Drug Charges


SWANVILLE, Maine (WGAN)  Five people have been arrested on drug charges, following a months-long investigation in Swanville.

The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency says they searched a home on Harriman Road Thursday evening.

The investigation into the sale of heroin and crack cocaine around the area included undercover purchases of the drugs.

Police say the home belonged to 30-year-old Christopher King.  Agents say King assisted and allowed a group from New York to use his home to distribute drugs around Waldo County.

When agents when into the home, they say they found King in the process of weighing and packaging heroin for resale.  Agents say 27-year-old Sean Rohan from New York was found in a bedroom trying to hide drugs.

Agents say 14 grams of heroin was seized, along with $800 in suspected drug proceeds.

While agents were at the house, a car with Taylor Andrews from Gardiner and Bobby Dean Berry and Princessayana Harris from New York arrived.  Agents seized 30 grams of crack cocaine and five grams of cocaine HCL, along with $2,200 in suspected drug proceeds.

All five were charged with unlawful trafficking and taken to Two Bridges Regional Jail.

Bail was set at $10,000 cash for Berry, Rohan and Harris.  King was not given bail because of a bail violation.  Andrews was released on unsecured bail.
