Five Charged with Attempted Murder After Shooting in Calais

CALAIS, Maine (WGAN)  Five people have been arrested for aggravated attempted murder after a shooting in Calais.

Our info partners at Channel 8 report that the shooting happened Wednesday night at the Calais Motor Inn on Baker Street.  Police say officers arrived and found a male victim who said two other men had shot at him.  He was not injured.

Police say they found the suspects’ vehicle and they were stopped by police.  The driver was taken into custody.  The four other people inside the car then drove away, leading police on a chase that ended in Brookton.  All four were arrested.

Police have identified the five as 21-year-old Marcos Luis Figueroa-Frias of Bronx, New York, 26-year-old Elmer Frias of Bronx, New York, 24-year-old Jordan Rodriguez of Bronx, New York, 20-year-old Saul Figueroa of Bronx, New York, and 27-year-old Stephen Perkins of Baileyville, Maine.
