Former Hospital Worker Charged with Placing Hidden Cameras in Staff Bathrooms

BANGOR, Maine (WGAN) Bangor Police say a Hampden man was arrested on a warrant charging him with 15 counts of Invasion of Privacy.

58-year-old David Waltz was taken into custody on Monday on the outstanding warrants. According to WGME-13, Waltz is a former facilities worker at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center and is accused of placing cameras in staff bathrooms at the hospital. He allegedly caught 12 hospital employees on camera in three bathrooms, according to Deputy District Attorney Marianna Lynch.

He was taken to Penobscot County Jail without incident where he made bail and has since been released. He’s scheduled to be arraigned November 14th.
