Four occupants inside a vehicle that ended up in a bog in Penobscot County were taken to the hospital on Monday.

The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened around 8 a.m. in Greenbush on Route 2 near the Milford town line.

Police said the vehicle was heading south when it drifted off the right side of the road, struck and broke a utility pole, then came to a rest in a bog in about two feet of water.

One man was reportedly ejected from the vehicle and became trapped underneath.

Details about the driver and passengers’ injuries were not immediately available.
