Franklin County man charged after allegedly putting stepson in chokehold

Police say a Chesterville man is accused of grabbing his 15-year-old stepson by the neck and putting him in a chokehold.

According to the Sun Journal, 44-year-old Keith Grundy was arrested and charged with domestic violence assault after police responded to a report of a disturbance at the home just before noon on Sunday.

Grundy, a member of the Chesterville Board of Appeals, posted $200 bail later that day and was released from Franklin County Detention Center in Farmington.

Grundy faces up to nearly a year behind bars and a fine of up to $1,000 if convicted.
