Gas prices in Maine are back on the rise following a decision by OPEC+ to cut oil supply.

AAA on Friday reported the state average for a gallon of regular gas hit $3.58. That’s up from $3.56 on Thursday.

According to GasBuddy, the cheapest gallon of gas you’ll find in the state is at the Citgo in Eliot, where it’s priced at $3.19 a gallon.

AAA says the national average is $3.89.

The supply reduction by OPEC+ was intended to push crude oil prices to recovery after falling to $80 a barrel, a move which has been condemned by the Biden White House.
