What’s being called The Last Car Show of the Season” will be a giant spectacle that’s being staged to raise money for Maine veterans.

About 700 vehicles will be on display this Sunday at Bill Dodge Auto Group in Westbrook

Admission is free, but 100 percent of fees paid by people entering vehicles in the show will go to Maine based Veterans Forward.

Awards will be given out in 20 categories of cars, trucks and motorcycles with cars dating back to the 1940s.

Sara Bernier with Veterans Forward says a good example is a veteran who was having trouble getting assistance with a leaky roof on his home.

“It took fundraising efforts, local agencies, and it took advocating for the veteran to get a back dated claim that he was entitled to in order to get that situation resolved,” said Bernier.

She says they provide critical assistance to create a sustainable future for Maine’s veterans, service members, and their families.
