A man has been arrested following a burglary last week at the Hammond Lumber in Bangor.
Police responded to the Hammond Lumber location on Hammond St. at about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Police say an employee found what appeared to be multiple campsites behind the business.
However, it turned out to be tarps covering items stolen from Hammond Lumber, police say.
As police were investigating at the scene, they encountered a man who was riding an ATV in the area.
Police say they had received information that a person on an ATV may have been involved with the burglary.
When officers approached the man, he reportedly fled on foot, leading to a brief chase before his arrest.
The suspect was identified as 36-year-old Christopher Archer of Hampden, who was reportedly riding an ATV that had been stolen from another business.
After further investigation into burglaries at four Bangor businesses, police say Archer was charged Friday with a number of crimes, including four counts of Class C felony burglary.
