Shoppers at Hannaford will have to start looking elsewhere for tobacco products.

The supermarket chain announced that tobacco products will no longer be sold in it’s 183 stores, located throughout New England and New York, by this fall. The chain says the date will vary by store.

A spokesperson says the change comes as part of the store’s commitment to health.

There are 63 Hannaford locations in Maine.
