Friday night, a high-speed chase in Casco ended with the arrest of two suspects. At approximately 7:38 PM, Cumberland County Sheriff’s Deputies attempted to stop a blue Mazda 3 on Roosevelt Trail. The driver, suspected of operating under the influence, failed to stop and led deputies on a pursuit, reaching speeds over 90 mph.

The chase ended when the vehicle crashed at the intersection of Graffam Road. Both occupants fled on foot but were later apprehended with the help of K9 units. The vehicle was reported stolen from South Portland, and a firearm found at the scene was also reported stolen from Saco.

The suspects, 19-year-old Abdiaziz Ibrahim of Portland and 21-year-old Rodrigue Mucyo of Westbrook, were taken to Maine Medical Center for precautionary checks before being booked into Cumberland County Jail.
